Ayah 1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
English Translation
YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more

Ayah 2حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ
English Translation
until you go down to your graves.
3
Ayah 3كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation
Nay, in time you will come to understand!
4
Ayah 4ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
English Translation
And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand!
5
Ayah 5كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ
English Translation
Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty,
6
Ayah 6لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ
English Translation
you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]!
7
Ayah 7ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ
English Translation
In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty:
8
Ayah 8ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
English Translation
and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life!
