Ayah 1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ
English Translation
HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law?

Ayah 2فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ
English Translation
Behold, it is this [kind of man] that thrusts the orphan away,
3
Ayah 3وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ
English Translation
and feels no urge to feed the needy.
4
Ayah 4فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ
English Translation
Woe, then, unto those praying ones
5
Ayah 5ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
English Translation
whose hearts from their prayer are remote
6
Ayah 6ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ
English Translation
those who want only to be seen and praised,
7
Ayah 7وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ
English Translation
and, withal, deny all assistance [to their fellow-men]!
